This guide forms part of a suite of resources prepared by Lutheran Education Australia to encourage and support worship and
devotional life in schools and Early Childhood Services. It is intended for staff working with younger children.
Lutheran schools and early childhood services have regular worship services and other faith practices as a central part of our mission, because they are the way we meet Jesus, form a relationship with God and are built up and shaped in the faith.
Devotions can be a powerful and meaningful experience for young children, but they should be tailored to match the children’s
age and stage. This guide will look at the need of this age group and provide some ideas for organising devotions for the early years.
